For those not in the United States... Independence Day, more commonly referred to as the "Fourth of July", is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. This fun holiday is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.

Phone Sex Humour and a New Give-a-Way

I love that all of my bloggy friends check in with me when they don't see my posts for a while. I love you all and I'm fine, really...I've just been a bit backlogged on all of my custom graphic art projects and orders, so I haven't had the chance to post as often as I'd like. Things will be back to normal soon, I promise. :)

Check back this SUNDAY for a chance to win mini prints of my newest work. This give-a-way will include all of my new prints, the rest of which will be posted this weekend in my shop. 8 winners in total will be announced. Again, that give-a-way will start THIS Sunday, May 10th...so be sure to enter.

Also! Artist features and give-a-ways will be starting up again next Sunday, May 17th as I know you love those so. Our feature and give-a-way next week will be Elsie of Namaste Designs and you won't want to miss it!

Now onto the Sex....humour, that is. :)
This cute little cartoon is dedicated to one of my most special bloggy friends...and she'll know exactly why. No, she's not a phone sex operator...but with her amazingly sexy voice, she could be! *insert heavy breathing here* hee hee

P.S. That the blob on the bed is supposed to be E.T.

BFFs...Piglet and Pooh

Thursday FUN!

Don't feel like actually working today? Me either!

So, here's another of those fun time wasters...MAKE YOUR OWN ALBUM COVER!

My band is called 4th Regiment of the Front Guard and my album is called "Trying to be in Love" {right}. Doncha just love it? ...definitely check it out!

...and now, go get yer own:

1 } Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random - The first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2 } Click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 - The last four or five words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3 } Visit http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ - The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 } Use PhotoShop to put it all together.

5 } Post the link to your band's new album and, if you want, TAG up to 10 people you want to join in. {I'm not gonna tag anyone, but would LOVE to see what you do!}

*❤*

And, whilst your are shopping, you might wanna grab a card or two from the Dirty Pretty Things shoppe...There are some super cute cards that will definitely help set the mood for your night of fun, below:

From L to R...

• Hot Monkey Love Card
• Your Place or Mine Card
• Can I Play With Your Banana Card

So, How old do I look (really)?

I'm addicted to this new online 'game' entitled "How Old Are You?"

The object of this game is as follows:

• Look at the pictures that come up one by one.

• Then, try to accurately guess the age of the individual

Easy, fun...and you don't embarrass yourself or others by incorrectly guessing someone's age!

You can even submit your picture to find out what people really think your age is based on your looks. You will be emailed an address where you can check to see the ages people guess as they vote on your photo.

I submitted a recent photo {above}.

Now, tell me...How old DO I look, really?

Freaky Friday... Be Grateful Today

We never realise how quickly things can change or how bad things really can get until it happens to us...so take a moment now and be grateful for what you have today.

{Pause here for a moment of silence}

Seriously, did you pause and think of at least 3 things you are grateful for at this very minute?

You might remember when this accident happened 8 years ago this past March.
This Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas overshot the runway when landing in Burbank, CA. The plane smashed through the airport fence, careened across the street, ending up with collapsed landing gear...right by a Chevron gas station.

Close call, right? ...This could have really been disastrous!

But, that's truly not the amazing part....

Fun with Flickr: The Road to Hell...

{{ The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions... }}

I'm growing increasingly addicted to this Flickr "game"...Thanks a lot, ThisOldHenHouse! hee hee
Anyway, my addiction has led me a new set of questions for you to play with and I've stepped it up a bit by asking you to name your image mosaic to keep those creative juices flowing. I've also put my answers to the questions this time. I don't know why I didn't before.
Here's what you do to create your own "Twelve with Flickr" Mosaic.

The Concept...
a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image...and it doesn't necessary have to be an image of your answer as long as it's on that first page.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into fd’s mosaic maker.
d. Name your new image with a line from the song in Question #7

Questions...
1. What day is it? Saturday
2. Who is your favorite superhero? Cat Woman
3. Pick a number from 1 to 100? Eight
4. What is your favourite flower? Anemone
5. Who is your favourite fashion designer? Alexander McQueen
6. County in which you may have lived in a past life? England
7. Favourite Song of the Moment? "4 Minutes" by Madonna
8. Pick any word that starts with an "N"? Nipple
9.Pick one...Eyeshadow, Blush, Lipstick or Mascara: Mascara
10. Your most favourite possession? Paul Strand photography
11. One Word to describe how you feel today: Busy
12. Name of something in front of your right now: Teacup

You can add me as your Flickr friend here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ravenx
I will be adding photos and fun soon, I promise! I've just been an ultra busy girl lately. :)

If you do your own, post here, so I can check it out! Have fun, My Pretties!
