mixing styles

so.

i need some advice. are there some interior styles you don't mix? i'd like to hear thoughts on perhaps mixing a French feel sleigh bed (warm honey, can't remember what wood!) with mid-century bedside tables.

what do you think?

also, would you paint mid-century Danish pieces?
