The longest bridge

Here in my hometown of Duxbury, MA, we have many historic sites - such as the John & Priscilla Alden Homestead, the Miles Standish Monument and various burial grounds. Our biggest landmark is undoubtably the Powder Point Bridge - a quarter mile long wooden bridge that connects the town to the Atlantic Ocean. Word is that this bridge is the longest of its kind in the US. I don't know if it's true, but it's certainly one of the most documented structures around.
